I’ve already volunteered in one VBS this year, which was at my dad’s church. He writes his own VBS stuff and this year his church had a journeying with God sort of theme.

At my own church, we’re doing some space theme. I’m really looking forward to it. When we were planning for Friends Day, our VBS director had the teens pick out the songs we’re doing because not all of the songs are that great. Those that picked the songs know what kids are looking for I think because we have been going to VBS or helping with it for 9 years or longer.

I’m really excited for the plays we’re doing for VBS. I’m playing a bad guy who creates a Bible blaster to destroy all the Bibles on earth. I’m not exactly excited to be playing a person who wants to destroy all the Bibles on earth, but I think it’s a change. I don’t think most people would think of me as the bad guy, so it will be interesting.
