This weekend my cousin Richard got married, so my dad drove my grandparents up to Ohio for it, and decided to make the trip bigger and let grandma and grandpa visit a few of their grandkids on the way. I think Tim found it pretty funny that they made a detour from Ohio to Minnesota, telling people here that they just figured since they were already so close they’d come on to MN. Anything north of Oklahoma has to be close to each other right?
It was a lot of driving for them and a short visit, but I am so glad they were able to stop by for a visit and see our home, town and church. We drove around giving them an idea of the housing market in our area. Grandpa was very dissapointed. Then we had a good lunch and gave a tour of our church. For the evening we all came back for a nap and relaxed the rest of the night playing a couple games of Rook and ate Taco salad for dinner.
While playing Rook we decided to switch decks since grandma and grandpa’s deck was pretty sticky. I got out one of mine and Tim’s decks to play with, dealt all the cards out, and came up short. I thought I had misdealt, but we were missing two cards. I was bummed and thought we would have to toss out the deck, but Dad said while he and his siblings were playing Rook in Ohio, grandma and grandpa’s deck had 2 extra cards in it. And it turns out they were the two that I was missing! We must of gotten them all mixed up last time all the Waymans were together for family reunion. It’s been a few years, but funny that we got them straightened out, and didn’t even know ’til this weekend!
Dad brought up my gel bike seat for me and a bag of baby items that mom got for our baby. I looked through everything on Monday while everyone was here and then got them out again today to look at. The onesies are so tiny and so cute to look at. I can’t wait until we get to dress our baby in them! This has fueled me wanting to get more baby stuff right now, so I spent a lot of time online looking at things ’cause I’ve been saving up quite a bit of blow money. But I’m still making myself wait and see what we get before Baby Schmoyer is born, and then I can go get what we need.
Tim and I got up early today to say goodbye and pray for safe travels today, and then went back to sleep. I missed an opportunity to sub, but was okay missing it. I rested a lot today and took another nap which was wonderful. Then when Tim got home we ate left overs from lunch yesterday and went on a leisure bike ride. We did 3.5 miles, and it took about 25 minutes. Baby Schmoyer didn’t make the ride too comfortable, but it was nice to get outside and do something active after resting a full day.
